On this special episode of Supporting Local Tourism, we are visiting our haunted yeard haunts at my own house. […]

We are in Kelowna, British Columbia, at Mill Creek Regional Park on this episode of Supporting Local Tourism. This park is the perfect park to take your family to go for a leisurely walk. Take a walk to the bottom and the top of the waterfall. Stop at the several lookouts along the way. Featuring two different ways to the waterfall, one with no steps, where you can take a bike, wheelchair, or someone unable to walk up and down steps, and one a little longer with steps, bridges, and wooden pathways! You can even bring Fido along with you (as long as he is on a leash).
We are in Vernon, BC, on Supporting Local Tourism at the Kalavada Surf Shop by Kal beach this week. Thanks to Glohaven and their Glo Box, I had the opportunity to test out one of their paddle boards on Okanagan lake! In every Globox, there is a family coupon for 4-6 people on a paddleboard for up to two hours. Kalavada Surf Shop supplies a paddle, measured to your height, the inflatable paddle board that is lightweight and easy to carry (it has handles), as well as a life jacket to keep you safe!
During my trip to Merritt, BC, I visited the beautiful Moon Shadows Campground. This campground is a beautiful campground located just five minutes from the center of Merritt. I quickly found out that this campground goes above and beyond in inclusive tourism. The owner who was at the front desk while I was there signs!! I repeat she signs, being CODA, she is fluent in American Sign Language. If you are deaf or rely on American Sing Launange to communicate, come to this campground, as this is something we rarely see in the tourism industry; I am so glad and honored to have visited. View my video if you have ever wondered why I am fighting for Captions in all travel locations. I have left the portion where I am signing with the owner without captions so that hearing individuals can experience the challenges of not having captions.
**Warning there are some unknown audio issues, sorry** During my trip to Merritt, BC, I was treated to some delicious Dim Dom from the staff and owners of Coldwater Hotel Restaurant. Coldwater hotel restaurant, located in the middle of downtown Merritt, is beautiful inside and out. Situated in a historic building, this is a must-try for your drive or stop through Merritt. When visiting, let the staff know you want to try some Bubble tea, as it is AMAZING!!
