About Samantha

From a little girl who was told she would never speak to an International titleholder.
Samantha Sewell has made her journey, her struggles, her apraxia into a beacon of hope. Samantha born with Apraxia and several other speech impediments struggled in school with bullying and her grades. Sewell was often told that she would not graduate with the “regular” diploma and that she may never be able to communicate like everyone else.
In the ninth grade, Sewell was verbally abused by a teacher, being told by this teacher every day that she was retarded, and constantly separated from the rest of the class. Sewell developed Depression and Anxiety because of this.
In 2015 Sewell received a message on her Instagram page, encouraging her to compete in a provincial pageant. Eventually, Sewell decided to try for the title, and to her shock, she won the title that year. Soon after winning the title Sewell discovered the crown was powerful. People listened to when she wore it.
Now four years after entering pageantry Sewell has spoken in 2 countries, 6 USA states, 4 Canadian provinces and has reached people worldwide with her message of Anti Bullying and Inclusion for all.
Sewell has become an advocate for Bullying, Inclusion, and Apraxia, educating the world on the after-effects of bullying and the signs of current bullying, and mental health.
Since 2015 Sewell has been seen attending and volunteering at over 1500 events worldwide!

Wow Vernon has there very own National Star, so cool. My child went to a School where you spoke at and came home in tears, saying how happy he was that someone else has trouble speaking. My son has DYSARTHRIA and it has infected not only his speech but his friends, and his social life. He is now in fifth grade and is bullied, and as he explained you were too. He can home that day and told me that everything was going to be okay because the “queen” was just like him. Once I calmed down his excitement and got him to explain it to me it all became clear. You changed his life. He tells me he talked to you after and you understood every word, which is usually difficult (even for me). Thank you, you have changed our life’s forever. I am overly thrilled that you are sharing this platform as there are millions of children ,like my son, suffering in silence from this horrible Impediment!! He haven’t stopped talking about you and telling you to leave a message, about what your message and speech meant to him. SO THANK YOU SAMANTHA. You have saved my son, from the feeling of being alone in his struggle. THANK YOU.
