On November 3^rd, 2015 I attended my first event as Miss Teen Galaxy Canada. I must apologize for my lateness with posting and for being a bit behind. I’m hoping to catch up soon.

The first event I attended as Miss Teen Galaxy Canada was the RBC Teen Open house for the new teen room in Lake Country right here in the Okanagan!! This event was really action packed, and I had a blast. I met some amazing people and time flew by. The organizer of the event wanted me to attend so that the teens could meet a role model that was their own age and to help inspire them, and show them that hard work pays off.  The teens I met were so clever; they taught me all types of card games and dice games that they had made up themselves. The Boys and Girls clubs in the Okanagan are very popular and are very good for the community, providing many different services to a wide range of kids and teens. I know many different groups from various Okanagan Boys and Girls clubs as they come to school sports games, plays and various community events. They help the community out so much. So, when the Lake Country Boys and Girls club asked me to join them I was ecstatic that they would be a part of my first event. I got to meet representatives from the local RBC, the Boys and Girls clubs and teens from the area. I also got to see my aunt that I hadn’t seen for a few months (she was there with a child she works with). After a fun filled afternoon we took one last picture together before we went our separate ways!! I hope to attend another event with the Boys and Girls Club again really soon.
